4 Day Errachidia to Marrakech Tour

When you arrive at Errachidia airport, your personal driver-guide from Morocco Tourism Packages will greet you and escort you to the golden dunes of Merzouga. Depending on your arrival time, your first day can follow one of two options:

➡ Option 1: Daytime Arrival
If you arrive during the day, enjoy a scenic drive through the Ziz Valley, where endless palm groves meet rugged desert mountains. Along the way, stop at panoramic viewpoints to capture the stunning contrasts of Morocco’s natural beauty.

By late afternoon, you’ll reach Merzouga, where camels will be ready to carry you across the towering Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun sets, painting the sands in gold and red, ride to your luxury desert camp. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional mint tea reception, local music, and a delicious dinner under the starry sky before retiring to your private tent for the night.

➡ Option 2: Late-Night Arrival
If your flight lands around midnight, you’ll be transferred directly to Merzouga for an overnight stay in a comfortable desert hotel. This ensures you get a full night’s rest and wake up refreshed, ready to begin your Sahara adventure the next morning.

Wake up early to enjoy the stunning sunrise over the dunes before having breakfast at the camp. Then, embark on an exciting 4×4 off-road adventure across the desert. Your first stop will be Khamlia village, where you can experience the soulful Gnawa music performed by local musicians. Next, visit nomadic families living in traditional tents to learn about their unique lifestyle. Afterwards, explore the M’ifis fossil mines, the seasonal Dayet Sriji lake, and the nearby oasis. Your day ends with a stay at a peaceful hotel on the edge of the dunes, where you can relax or, if you prefer, enjoy an energizing ATV ride.

After breakfast, depart Merzouga and visit Rissani, famous for its dates and traditional local trade. Experience the vibrant atmosphere as merchants sell spices, textiles, and everyday goods, giving a glimpse into authentic Moroccan life. Continue to Todgha Gorge, where towering canyon walls rise more than 300 meters, creating a dramatic landscape perfect for photography and short hikes along the river. After a pause for lunch, we keep driving through the scenic Dades Valley, often called the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,”.

Marvel at the unique rock formations known as the Monkey Fingers. Along the route, pass by ancient kasbahs and charming Berber villages that dot the valley, each telling its own story of history and culture. Arrive at your hotel or Riad in Boumalne Dades for an overnight stay, enjoying the peaceful surroundings of this stunning region.

After breakfast, leave behind the beautiful town of Dades and drive through the Valley of Roses, where local cooperatives make rose water and beauty items. Thereafter continue to Ouarzazate, which is renowned as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” You can stop for pictures near the Atlas Film Studios or pay the enter ticket to see it from inside. After that, set off again to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This ancient fortified ksar has been featuredin many movies. After seeing the kasbah, drive over the High Atlas Mountains and pass the Tizi n’Tichka an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level. Enjoy the views of the mountains and Berber communities along the way they are amazing.
