When you arrive at Errachidia airport, your personal driver-guide from Morocco Tourism Packages will warmly welcome you and accompany you on the journey toward the magnificent dunes of Merzouga. Depending on your flight schedule, you will have one of two possible experiences today:

➡ Option 1 (Morning or Afternoon Arrival):

If you arrive during the day, you’ll travel along the scenic road to Merzouga, passing through the breathtaking Ziz Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and dramatic gorges. Along the way, you’ll stop at panoramic viewpoints to take photos and admire the contrast between lush green oases and rugged desert mountains.

By late afternoon, you’ll reach Merzouga, where camels will be waiting to carry you across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun sets, painting the sands in hues of gold and crimson, you’ll ride toward your luxury desert camp. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with refreshing mint tea, traditional music, and a delicious dinner beneath the stars before spending the night in your private tent.

➡ Option 2 (Late-Night Arrival):

If your flight lands around midnight, you’ll be transferred directly to Merzouga for an overnight stay in a comfortable desert hotel. This allows you to rest well after your journey and wake up to the fresh desert air, ready to begin your Sahara adventure the next morning.

Wake up early to witness the first light of day softly illuminating the vast sea of dunes an unforgettable Sahara experience. After breakfast, set out to uncover the hidden treasures of the desert. You’ll have the opportunity to meet a nomadic family still living in traditional tents and learn about their way of life, as well as how they adapt to this challenging yet beautiful environment.

Continue on to Khamlia, a welcoming village renowned for its Gnawa musicians, whose soulful performances reflect the deep cultural heritage of the Sahara. Later, journey across the desert plains to discover seasonal lakes, ancient fossil fields, and palm-dotted oases that break the silence of the sands. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Merzouga and check into a comfortable hotel, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and reflect on a day filled with culture and desert discovery.

After breakfast in the Sahara, it’s time to say goodbye to Merzouga and begin the drive back to Errachidia. Along the way, you’ll stop in Rissani, a historic town known for its bustling traditional souk and its significance as the birthplace of the Alaouite monarchy. The journey continues to Erfoud, a lively desert town famous for its fossil workshops and delicious date harvests. As you travel onward, the road winds through the stunning Ziz Valley, where palm groves and dramatic gorges create picture-perfect scenery. In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Errachidia, where your driver will transfer you to the airport. This marks the end of your 3 days Desert tour from Errachidia.
