After breakfast in Merzouga, leave the golden dunes behind and begin your journey to Marrakech. You may also see daring rock climbers scaling the sheer cliffs. Continue along the scenic “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” This desert town is famous for its film studios, which have been featured in movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones.

Next, visit the historic ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. Stroll through its narrow streets and admire the mudbrick towers perched on the hill, offering a glimpse into life centuries ago. Then, drive over the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass, 2,200 meters high, through the majestic High Atlas Mountains.
