Experience the adrenaline rush that comes with our Quad Bike Experience in Merzouga and set off on an exhilarating journey through the golden dunes of Sahara Desert. If you are a professional or just someone willing to try for the 1st time, this is your chance to see and explore at first hand the great vastness of Erg Chebbi dunes.
Roaring across the soft sand, climbing gargantuan dunes and taking in wide-open desert views. En route you will experience the peace and tranquility of the Sahara, we stop for photos where-ever possible to appreciate and lap up in the amazing scenery. Ideal for speed demons, couples, families and groups of friends alike, this activity mixes adventure with fun with a taste unique desert ride.
Start of the Adventure
Your quad biking experience will start from our base in Merzouga where you’ll meet your friendly guide. Before we depart you will be given a safety briefing and run down on how to operate the quad. You will be provided with helmets and safety gear to ensure that you’re comfortable, safe, and confident before hitting the dunes.
Riding Through the Dunes
When you’re ready, jump on your quad bike and follow a guide into the beauty of Erg Chebbi. Ride through fine sand, up and down dunes the color of polished gold with a cool desert breeze on your face. The guide will select the most optimal and safest routes based on your skill level. You can position with ease to gaze at views, and take beautiful shots of the scenery.
During your ride, the guide will bring you to a panoramic dune; one of the highest in this area. Here you’ll have the chance to enjoy some tranquility, with views stretching for miles and taking in much of the Sahara. Now is a good time to relax, catch your breath and soak up the beauty of this part of the desert.
Cultural Stop (Optional)
If you opt for a longer ride (1.5 to two hours), your guide can take you to see a small Berber village or nomadic family close by the dunes. It’s a unique opportunity to learn about the laid-back way of life in this locality and drink a glass of traditional mint tea with hospitable locals.
End of the Ride
Following a memorable dune-bashing experience, you’ll return to the base of where your journey started. You’re able to take a breather, freshen up and commiserate with some of the other passengers. This one is a perfect desert adventure for those who love to travel, whether you are on your own or with the family.
